Big Grin Finding Balance And Health With Yoga
Rajas could be the power of change, motion and movement. Rajas is the energy of passion and fire. Rajasic energy can be from the day light hours. We obviously need rajasic energy to produce energy to move effectively all through our society and lives. Once we have too much rajasic ene... Have you found out about the Gunas? No, they're maybe not Disney people! Based on yoga you can find three basic attributes or energies which make up anything. Browse here at slack ftp to read the purpose of this idea. They are, rajas, sattva and tamas.

Rajas may be the power of motion, change and motion. Rajas may be the energy of passion and fire. Rajasic energy is also linked to the day light hours. We clearly need energy to create energy to maneuver successfully through-out our world and lives. Go go go, do do do, when we've too much rajasic power we might appear to the exterior world as extremely active! Does this sound like you? Maintaining a high level of rajasic energy contributes to burn up! When rajas is out of balance the mind and body are overstimulated, the mind becomes disturbed and you go through lots of uncontrollable feelings.

Foods that are rajasic include: spicy food, fried foods, espresso / caffeinated beverages/ stimulants/ fish, eggs, candy, foods that are very bitter, dry, sour and salty. Eating in a rush can also be considered rajasic

Tamas might be regarded as the alternative of rajas. Tamasic energy is of a state-of inertia and in-activity, heaviness and darkness. When tamas is out of harmony your ability to reason becomes clouded and you may feel the deeper feelings such as anger or greed. Tamasic energy is present throughout night, just like there's more rajasic energy present in daylight hours. Individuals who are very tamasic may be depressed or seem lazy. In most cases infection states are tamasic.

Examples of tamasic food include: meat, alcohol, cigarette, onions, fermented meals vinegar or strong cheese, old food or over ripe food, extremely processed food or chemically-treated. Overeating is known as tamasic.

Sattva is energy that's in a situation of harmony and balance. Positive emotional and psychological states of intelligence and happiness are related to sattva. An individual who was experiencing lots of sattvic energy would appear very happy. Sattvic energy is also consistent with healing states and in Ayurveda (yogas brother technology) sattvic energy is actively developed. Sattvic energy is most present during the moments between light and dark- to put it differently dusk and dawn. A person on the yogic path is focused on developing sattva and for this reason yoga asana and yoga are traditionally performed at these times.

Foods which are sattvic include: fruits, whole-grains and vegetables, pure juice, beans, milk, butter, nuts, seeds, sprouted seeds, baby and herb teas. To get different ways to look at it, consider glancing at: read.

It's important to realize that we all have all three gunas within us. And while this is true we are apt to have a predominant guna. Based on the points above can you find out what yours is? It's great to be aware of this because when you're aware of your predominant guna then you can predict how may possibly react to particular life conditions as well know your strengths and weaknesses. Youll know when you'll are generally cast out of balance and what you will need to do to bring yourself back into balance.

Additionally you may have situations in our lives when one guna is more effective then yet another. Maybe you have very active time and very successful (rajasic). Or even a time when you have been frustrated (tamasic). Or a time when we are very healthy and in-tune with your spirituality (satvic).

Another way the gunas appear in our lives and right result us is through the meals we eat. Consider for a minute the typical American diet with overly processed and chemically treated foods that are very tamasic. Modern science now confirms that these foodstuffs are directly linked to major diseases including cancer, obesity, diabetes and heart disease. As previously mentioned above an excessive amount of tamasic power contributes to infection states. We also know that foods in their full form such as grains, fruits and vegetables (sattvic foods) are life supporting and provide energy and health.

Would you practice yoga postures (asana)? How do the gunas show up here? Is your asana practice enthusiastic and hot? Was your training was slow and sluggish? Or was it healthy?

It's probably becoming clear to you by now that to be healthy, happy, and stay a stability life it's important to develop sattva in your life. This can be done by:

Reducing tamas and rajas

Becoming conscious of when you're out-of balance- which guna appears most present?

Increase conditions and activities that create positive views

Eating a healthier, sattvic oriented diet

Specific herbs (subject for another post)

The practice of yoga: pranayama (breathing procedures), asana (postures), relaxation. Visit slack ftp to explore the inner workings of it.
